Have you ever been cheated on?

When a person cheats on you, this person’s actions may be proclaiming to the world that you are not worthy of respect, honesty, and that you deserve to have shameful signs and symptoms and a diagnosis that can claim your life, and if the latter happens then oh well, you deserved it because it took you too long to figure it out.

Hell to the NO! NO!

  • You should not have to itch in private areas of your body because you loved someone.
  • You should not have to have discharges or odors in private areas because you were the one who was honest.
  • You should not have to walk into an office and state “I need to be check for gonorrhea, syphilis” or other dreaded diseases  just because you respected the boundaries in the relationship?
  • You also should not have to endure the painful procedures of needle sticks, blood draws, and disrobing in cold areas in front of strangers in order to place your body in awkward positions so they can best view your anatomy for treatment and evaluation.
  • You should not have to relive that moment every single time you seek treatment for other things.  “Have you ever had diabetes, heart disease or ever been treated for sexually transmitted diseases?”  *you are just seeking remedy for allergies*

Sadly, though, you may have to go through all the should not(s) if you were cheated on.

One thing I am adamant about is that you should not have to publicly discuss those relationships when interviewing for a position.  Even if that position is the Presidency of a Great Nation.  Any individual demanding that you do so  is over stepping the boundaries of human decency.  Don’t do it.

Awaiting the debate……
